Hope is a practicing clinician and an Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She also practices at the Dimock Community Center of Boston.  Hope wrote four previous books on women’s health and nutrition in partnership with her chef husband, Vincent.  She has special expertise in reproductive health, nutrition, and management of menopause. 

    Hope is an active participant in a gender-specific online health education movement called “Embracing Women’s Health,” pioneered by a community of health experts on www.bewell.com, called Lluminari.  She is available for interviews and lectures.  Her blog address is here.

Monique is a contributor to the Boston Globe whose work has appeared in the International Herald Tribune (Paris) and in www.newyorktimes.com. She is a humor writer who specializes in “translating” complex or controversial information, using humor to explain hot topics or sensitive ones. She has brought humor to the touchy subject of cancer in The Courage Muscle: A Chicken’s Guide to Living with Breast Cancer and How Can I Help: Everyday Ways to Help Your Loved Ones Live with Cancer. Monique has had cancer three times. Her speeches are inspirational and usually hilarious.  Monique is also founder of a unique charity called www.thebucketbrigade.org. It adopts one village in Southern Sudan, ravaged by genocide, civil war and poverty, and helps it to survive.

    Monique has lived a corporate life (Vice President, Beacon of Boston), life as an at-home mom, and her current path of combining writing and consulting with bringing help to Southern Sudan.
